How do I add an external domain that uses my own Domain Name Service (DNS) servers?

To add an external domain that uses your own DNS servers, follow the steps below:

1. Add the domain as an external domain in your Control Panel.

2. Go back to the domains overview.

3. Select the domain and click Edit DNS Settings under the DNS button.

4. Edit your Name Server settings.

5. Under Basic DNS Settings click the drop down and select My name server

6. Complete the new fields under Advanced DNS Settings with your name servers (There can only be up to four DNS servers listed here. If you have more then 4, you must reduce the number so that you only use 4 or less)

7. Click OK

Once you have completed this process, it will take approximately 12-24 hours for the domains to become active on our servers. Next, you will need to add a CNAME record to your DNS server. For example:

IN CNAME s#########.onlinehome.us

Note: If you wish to host subdomains of this domain with us, you must add the subdomain to your Control Panel and then add the subdomain to your DNS Server.
